Carotech has embarked on its full production activities via its unique extraction process that is protected through US Patent No: 5,157,132 (1992) as well as 7,544,822 (2009).

Unlike other producers, Carotech uses its patented Molecular Distillation process (with high vacuum, low temperature) in its integrated production plant. This unique process allows Carotech to extract valuable phytonutrients, specifically the  Tocotrienol Complex (Tocomin®), Mixed Carotene Complex (Caromin®)  and Phytosterol (Stelessterol™) from crude palm oil. During the extraction process, Carotech also produces methyl ester, which is sold as biodiesel (CaroDiesel®), with crude glycerin as a co-product.
