iHealthTube.com Features Video Interview with Prof. Chandan Sen on

“Tocomin SupraBio® And Stroke, vis-à-vis Neuroprotection”

Nov 15th, 2011 – New Jersey, USA – Carotech, the largest and only GMP-certified palm tocotrienol complex producer, is pleased to announce that a video interview with Prof. Chandan Sen (Ohio State University Medical Center) on Tocomin SupraBio® and neuroprotection - is now live on the iHealthTube.com video channel.

Prof. Chandan Sen is currently a Professor and Vice Chair of Research of Surgery at the Ohio State Universityy Medical Center.  He is the author of the most cited work in tocotrienol in his research on tocotrienols and neuroprotection. With over 250 publications under his name, Prof. Sen is also cited over 900 times a year in the literature. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the #1 rated journal in redox biology - Antioxidants & Redox Signaling (impact factor 8.209).

Prof. Sen was the first researcher to look into tocotrienols and neuroprotection since 2000 and has spent more than a decade studying tocotrienols’ potent neuroprotection properties against stroke-induced injuries.  He receives research funding from the NIH (National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke) and uses Tocomin® and Tocomin SupraBio® full spectrum palm tocotrienol complex in his studies since 2010.

iHealthTube.com provides online education via videos and podcasts to consumers on a wide range of natural health topics.

In the interview, Prof. Sen talked to iHealthTube about what stroke is, how he started the NIH-funded stroke prevention research and the reason for choosing Tocomin® / Tocomin SupraBio® palm tocotrienol for the study. He also explained the direction of his research which is towards finding a natural preventive solution for stroke protection via oral supplementation.

“Stroke is the number one cause of disability and number three killer disease in the U.S.. Today, Prof. Chandan Sen’s studies proved that Tocomin SupraBio® natural full spectrum palm tocotrienol complex and minute amounts of alpha tocotrienol are potently neuroprotective. The applications are widespread ranging from aging to other neurodegenerative disorders that represent a sizeable fraction of all health problems taken together. Tocotrienol content in our diet is trace at best. TocominSupraBio® patented and bioenhanced natural full spectrum palm tocotrienol complex is well positioned to potentially emerge as the most potent neuroprotective form of natural vitamin E and further strengthens the case for Tocomin SupraBio® tocotrienol supplementation for brain health and brain protection especially among baby boomers and the senior population.,” says Mr. WH Leong, Vice President, Carotech Inc.

We are proud to be associated with this NIH-funded study as it further solidifies Carotech's position as the leading and largest supplier of natural full spectrum tocotrienol complex in the world. I strongly recommend all consumers and experts who are interested in the field of neuroprotection particularly stroke-related conditions, to watch the videos to understand how Tocomin SupraBio® works,” adds WH Leong.

The video interview is separated into 13 episodes; they are uploaded at the following site:
